It all started with a simple donation trip, a heavy box of books and the realization that not everyone can lift, carry, or transport their book donations. That moment sparked an idea: what if donating books could be just as easy as deciding to let them go and what if book donations could help create a better future for anyone struggling with mental health or addiction?
At Donate Differently, we’re a team of two, who believe books are meant to be read, shared, and loved – not left collecting dust on bookshelves. That’s why we created our free book pickup service designed to make book removal, downsizing and decluttering effortless. Getting books back into the hands of eager readers while supporting CAMH: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
We’re focused on collecting gentled used and well cared for books in small batches. We focus on books that are ready for a new life, books that can be resold so we can donate a percentage of our proceeds to support Canadian mental health programs and research.
How It Works:
